Scrap books and reflective note books

A practice I've found massively handy over the years is keeping scrap books and reflective note books, and it's something I encourage all my students to do. Scrap books allow for idea generation, while reflective note books allow me to look back on my practice and revisit techniques I've used in the past. This proved handy this week, as I revisited a particular lighting technique I was struggling to recall, thankfully due to this type of note taking I was able to recreate the lighting setup and achieve some solid results. I cultivated this habbit during my time at RCS and I'd strongly encourage all creatives to do likewise.
